HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL?
We recommend flying into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). From there, you have two options to reach SCP Corcovado Wilderness Lodge:
Option 1: Domestic Flight via Sansa Airlines to Drake Bay Airport
You may book a flight from SJO to Drake Bay (DRK) with Sansa Airlines. We recommend arriving in Drake Bay no later than 3:00 PM, to ensure safe passage to the lodge while there is still ample daylight. The transfer includes approximately 30 minutes by land and 30 minutes by boat. This timing is important for your safety, as rip currents can be stronger and more dangerous after dark. We recommend allowing a 2-hour gap between your local flight and your international departure to ensure a smooth connection. Yo can book flights at the following www.flysansa.com
Option 2: Arrival via Sierpe Dock at La Hacienda SCP
Our dock is located in Sierpe, at La Hacienda SCP, approximately 4.5 hours by car from SJO, depending on traffic. The boat departs daily at 11:30 AM, and we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Due to the timing, we often suggest an overnight stay between San Jose and Sierpe if your international flight arrives late. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZJWHUAswwX3RHXFPA

OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING…

This is the place you will always want to go back to…
Just spent a fabulous few days at this beautiful hotel situated in a beach fronted jungle paradise. Everything thought of in the accommodation. Food great and exceptional service. The most beautiful beach in Costa Rica though the sea a little too powerful to swim in during our stay. The guides were variable in knowledge and language skills apart from Manfred Garcia who was passionate, articulate, highly experienced and invested in ensuring we had the best possible experience whilst protecting and conserving all wildlife. His love of Costa Rica and what ecotourism could achieve was so visible and his commitment to his own continuing education and that of others was inspiring. He has set the bar high for all other guides we will ever meet!!

Hotel in the paridise of Corcovado
It didn’t take long for the cares of my normal life to disappear as I found myself soothed into a walking meditation just being on the grounds with the symphony of exotic birdsongs and the rustling of trees among the tropical wind. Nestled amidst towering trees, my accommodation blended seamlessly into the natural environment, allowing me to wake surrounded by views of the rainforest. The open-air design provided the perfect balance of privacy and connection to nature. The experience was mesmerising!

A dream Corvocado vaction!
Everything was delightful from the moment of our arrival until our departure. The whole experience felt like an adventure, while at the same time we were safe and getting spoiled by the wonderful Costa Rican hospitality.
Nature at Corcovado is raw and gorgeous all around, accommodations are very comfortable yet in harmony with the environment. The food is delicious and there are lots of activities and things to do, we ended up staying an extra night.
We definitely would love to return and hope to do so next year!

UNIQUE AND SPECIAL PLACE
The common areas are beautiful, spacious, and welcoming. The hotel’s common areas feature extensive gardens with easily accessible walkways, where guests can walk and enjoy the local biodiversity. The gardens host a variety of birds and some mammals. If you’re lucky, you might see tapirs in the central garden enjoying seasonal mangoes, along with some monkeys and even the elusive tayra. It is a unique and special place, undoubtedly one that should be visited when given the opportunity. It offers so much to the visitor!
