MAKE A DIFFERENCE
EVERY STAY DOES GOOD®
Welcome to our Every Stay Does Good® (ESDG) program at Corcovado Wilderness Lodge. Here, your visit directly contributes to critical conservation and community development efforts, making you an integral part of preserving this remarkable region.
A portion of each stay supports vital research conducted on-site, empowering us to protect and study the incredible biodiversity around the lodge. Your stay also contributes to our Pristine Playa Program, an initiative collaborating with local communities to clean and restore park beaches. Through innovative machinery, we recycle collected plastics into materials used in hotel construction, turning waste into a sustainable resource.
The ESDG program also funds our Blue Warriors initiative, offering teens in underserved areas opportunities to learn English and gain skills in sustainable tourism, paving pathways for brighter futures.
We couldn’t achieve this impact without your support. From all of us at Corcovado Wilderness Lodge, thank you for choosing us as your travel destination and becoming a part of something truly meaningful. Together, we are making a difference.

ADOPT A CORAL
CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK | COSTA RICA
Our “Adopt a Coral” program is designed to protect and study coral reefs through a series of innovative steps:
– Coral Identification and Tagging: We identify and tag individual coral colonies in the Pacific Ocean, creating detailed 3D models using non-invasive photogrammetry. This allows us to monitor their health and growth accurately.
– Systematic Evolution Tracking: By georeferencing the corals, we systematically track their evolution and gain valuable insights into the health of the reef and the resilience of different coral species.
– Immunology Testing: Samples from your adopted coral are studied in our laboratory to assess their immune system. This helps us identify ‘super corals’ that can withstand stressful events like bleaching.
– Comprehensive Reporting: Within a year, you will receive a detailed report on your coral, including its health, growth, and any unique characteristics it may have.
If you have any questions about how you can participate in Adopt A Coral conservation efforts during your stay, please contact us at [email protected]
